Here’s a concept, a first person shooter where the first person is optional! After video footage debuted on the internet showing off a third person view in Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling stepped into confirm that yes, a third person view will indeed be an option in the game’s multiplayer mode.
The third person action will be limited however, as Bowling informs gamers that the mode will be a playlist option exclusive to multiplayer.
“You can play your favorite playlists [or] game types, like Team Deathmatch just standard, or in Hardcore mode or in the new 3rd Person mode, which means you and everyone in the game is in 3rd person.”
In other words, you cannot switch from first person to third person whenever you please; it’ll be exclusive to private matches so “when you’re in a 3rd Person playlist you can’t toggle in and out, you’re always in 3rd person.”
